The last 25 years…
From the mean streets of the Bronx to the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, the Fatman has been all over the country and have the stories and friends that go with it.
While in California, I also came experienced a small measure of success in the music industry. Several tours and records later, that part of my life came to an end with the changing scene in music. But during those years I met some of the most interesting people on the planet.
In 2011 I moved back to NY and started breeding Ball Pythons professionally. In 2016 I began casually podcasting with Snakes and the Fatman. Nowadays I do more podcasting than breeding but still have a love for the animals and this is a way I could stay in the game and still meet amazing people who work with animals all over the world.
In 2023 amid some health problems, I ended up losing my left leg and became an amputee. I’ll admit the focus of Snakes and the Fatman has changed over recent years with the trauma I experienced from the pain and actual loss of the leg. The focus of Snakes and the Fatman is always evolving and it’s changed over the years from strictly ball pythons to more of a comedy show that reptile people enjoy coming on. Since the amputation, I want to help others who are going through the same thing and try to make them laugh after a hopeless day or smile after a sh!tty week. I feel that that is a more worthwhile endeavor than teaching someone how to breed a very specific animal in a very specific hobby.
The podcast allows me to vent, call out the bullsh#t in the hobby and still have fun hanging out with the friends I’ve made over the last 25 years. Whether reptile breeders, actors, musicians, directors, or people that just have an extraordinary story to tell, they will all be on Snakes and the Fatman. New shows will be coming out in 2024 covering topics such as pop culture, political views, cultural views and music. As long as we make one person laugh, we’ll keep doing this.Shut up and be funny.

I have been keeping reptiles since 1998 and have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly of the reptile hobby. The podcast and channel give me the opportunity to talk about my experience in the hobby, interview some amazing people and tell some funny stories. This is not primarily a reptile show. It’s a comedy show with reptile guests.
In 1999, I moved out to Hollywood, CA where I lived for 12 years. I found my love of reptiles out in California and soon had a menagerie of over 90 animals including Burmese Pythons, Frilled Dragons, Savannah Monitors, Ball Pythons, and various Iguanas to name a few of the species we kept.
